Abstract： In order to grasp the basic parameters of coal seam gas and ensure the safety of mine production, the basic parameters of gas were measured in No.3 coal seam of Luhe Mine, and the gas pressure, coal seam firmness coefficient, gas content and gas emission law were determined. The test shows that the average gas pressure of No.3 coal seam in Luhe Mine is 0.12 MPa, the original gas content is 3.94 ~ 6.36 m3 / t, and the initial gas flow rate of 100 m borehole is 0.09 ~ 0.144 2 m3 / ( min · hm ).Based on the measurement results, the use of forward drilling and regional outburst prevention measures to ensure the normal operation of the mine excavation work, to achieve safe production.
