Abstract: With the continuous increase of mining depth,the threat of mining under pressure of Ordovician limestone was becoming increasingly prominent. Ordovician limestone water in floor had become an important factor restricting the development of efficient and intensive mining technology and safe production. Huaronglonggong Mine was affected by many kinds of water disasters in varying degrees in the process of mining,the biggest threat of which came from Ordovician limestone karst water. Based on the analysis of hydrogeological data such as previous hydrological drilling hole pumping test and underground Ordovician limestone long observation hole, this paper predicted and assessed the sudden water risk of Ordovician limestone water in No. 2 and No. 5 coal seams by using the sudden water zoning theory. According to the assessment results, the water prevention and control measures were put forward, which provided technical basis for mine safety mining.
