In order to ensure that no water inrush from the floor during the mining of No. 13 coal seam in Xiegou Mine, statistical analysis of the borehole data in the area of the mine field showed that the average thickness of the water barrier on the No. 13 coal seam floor was 51.31 m. The combination characteristics of the various rock formations were better, with better water barrier properties. Water inrush coefficient was used to partition water inrush danger area. By theoretical calculation and analysis, the results showed that the water burst coefficient of the coal seam was 0.003 to 0.170 MPa / m, and most of the coal seams belonged to the transition zone of high pressure mining and the high probability zone of water burst. For the high probability zone of water burst, the targeted water mining measures should be taken after the prevention during mining.
