In this paper, China's mine safety production accidents in the past five years were counted as a way to analyze the characteristics of mine accidents and put forward relevant prevention and control measures, collated the number of coal mine accidents and the number of fatalities in the country from 2016 to March 2, 2021, as well as the types of accidents and the number of accidents and fatalities in each province. For example, the influence of month and hour on mine safety accidents and other data, and then the current situation, the analysis showed that (1) the number of serious accidents decreased, although the number of accidents decreased by a small amount, but the number of fatalities per accident decreased greatly, from about 5.99 fatalities per accident in 2016 to 1.94 fatalities in 2020; (2) among the types of accidents, gas, roof accidents, toxic gas were the main source; (3) With regard to time, accidents occurred more often after October and in January of the coming year, which may be influenced by the weather. This paper took the form of statistical graphs and text narratives to show the analysis results clearly and understandably, in which origin software was used for graphing, so that the statistical results were presented more clearly.
