Pipeline is the main way of land long-distance natural gas transportation.After long-term operation, the inner wall of the steel pipeline will be corroded, forming a potential safety hazard. Internal coating is an effective measure to slow down the internal corrosion of pipeline. In order to explore the technical application of inner coating of natural gas pipeline, several common materials for pipeline internal coating were summarized. The advantages and disadvantages of pipeline internal coating technology and its practical application development ware analyzed. Taking a natural gas pipeline as an example, the operation process of the pipeline with internal coating was calculated and analyzed. The development direction of inner coating of natural gas pipeline in the future was predicted. Finally, the conclusion is as follows:Epoxy resin is one of the most widely used internal coating materials. The pipeline internal coating technology can effectively reduce the risk of pipeline internal corrosion. At the same time, it could increase the transmission efficiency of natural gas.In the future, new materials would replace the aging traditional organic materials and be used in more and more internal coating production of natural gas pipeline.
