In order to adequately control the possible collapsed column and fault conditions in the 2117 working face of the Laomuipo No.2 coal mining area in Shanxi Province, the radio-wave tunneling technique was introduced in Laomuipo Mine based on the geological structur that have been revealed with the existing radio-wave pit penetration technology, and the results showed that this method had a good application effect in detecting faults and collapsed columns and other geological structures.
