Electricity safety is an important component of mine safety, and the monitoring system can enhance the safety and reliability of underground coal mine power supply network operation. Sanyuan coal industry was taken as an example, the overall scheme of the mine underground power supply network monitoring and control system was designed, which mainly contains 3 major parts of underground data information collection, communication network, and ground monitoring. Practice showed that the application of the monitoring system can save power network maintenance costs for coal mining enterprises, improve the safety of underground power supply network operation, with significant economic and social benefits.
