Under the coupling effect of high ground stress, strong ore pressure and ultra-high confined water of the Xingdong Mine -980 deep area, with possible height reduction and not working of the support, severe deformation of the roadway, small fissures seep out of water, the water and coal mixed during the mining process, leading to the paralyze of the water drainage system, based on these problems, the water drainage system was analyzed and improved to maximize the separation between coal and water and ensure the safe running of the system.
