In order to analyze the stability of coal pillar in 2207 working face of Changcun Mine, the method of actual measurement was adopted. Firstly, the necessity of stress monitoring of coal pillar was explained. Secondly, the stress monitoring scheme and monitoring equipment of coal pillar were designed. Finally, the monitoring data were analyzed and the stress and stability of coal pillars were analyzed. It could be concluded that the depth of plastic failure zone on the left side of coal pillars was 5 m, the depth of plastic failure zone on the right side was 9 m, the width of elastic core zone was 13 m, and the roadway was in a stable state. Without reinforcement, the width of coal pillars was 27 m, which could not guarantee the stability of mining roadway. Only in the observation period, 2207 rail roadway moved near 243 mm along the roof and floor, 351 mm among the two sides, which indicated that the existing coal pillar width and roadway support parameters were unreasonable. According to the measured results, in 2207 working face, the significant advance influence distance was about 40 ~ 60 m, so the advance support distance of mining roadway should be more than 60 m. Considering the safety factor, the advance support distance in the existing regulations was more reasonable.
