According to the geological conditions of Sihou Mine, the technology of retaining narrow coal pillar retaining roadway was proposed. The reasonable coal pillar width was calculated by the theoretical formula to be 4.5~5 m. Aiming at the problems of roof caving and deformation of roadway surrounding rock in 1201 auxiliary transportation roadway, a high-strength pre-stressing pressure-supporting scheme was proposed. Using ANSYS to calculate the stress and displacement of the roadway under unsupported conditions, it can be seen that the deformation along the airside of the roadway was significantly larger than the deformation of the solid side by an order of magnitude, and the support to the airside side should be strengthened. Based on the numerical simulation results and deformation mechanism analysis, it was proposed to apply the left-handed non-longitudinal rolling thread anchor. The engineering observations showed that the supporting force of the left-handed non-longitudinal rolling thread anchor reached 94.8 kN when observed for 5 d, the peak value of the original anchor was 150.9 kN 15 d, and the peak value of the original anchor support was only 98.7 kN. This showed that the pull-out strength, yield strength and anchoring force of the left-handed anchor were much larger than the common right-handed anchor, and the roadway was better changed, more suitable for 1201 roadway support.
