Based on maintenance of CDE6140A engine lathe,  CDE6140A engine lathe of Yanya Mining Industry Corporation Ltd. of Datong Mining Group was taken as example, whose mechanical parts, electrical equipment and lubrication were analyzed, main parts of the lathe were introduced, the possible problem and corresponding measures were given, which provide reference for maintenance of engine lathe.
