Gaoyang coal flotation system owns two Jameson flotation machine ( J6500/24 ) series of scavenging，due to the low flotation tailings ash content，plant recovery rate is low，the Jameson flotation machine into material，concentrate and tailings grade ash content were analyzed，it was concluded that; Jameson flotation machine had a strong ability to select fine particles of coal ( < 0.043 mm ) in Gaoyang Mine， and the effect of > 0.045 mm coal sludge floatation was poor， and the results of selective reduction with particle size increased. The flotation system process was studied, combined with the actual production experience，the demolition of Jameson flotation machine was proposed，installing a XJM - KS 28 mechanical agitation type flotation machine， flotation into parallel directly into the mechanical agitation type flotation machine solution was given.
