Cholesterol is essential for the maintenance of normal physiological activity in animals. The determination of its content is particularly important. Determination methods include colorimetric method, chromatography, enzyme method, electrochemical analysis method, etc.. Determination of contents of cholesterol in different foods and serum with Raman Spectroscopy and Cholesterol sensor was reported, and the methods were compared.It is pointed out that the determination method of cholesterol content should be further improved.
