In order to study on the extraction technology of curcumin and increase the content of curcumin,curcumin was extracted from turmeric by percolation method. Results showed when 85% ethanol was took as solvent, marinating time was 24 hours, 85% ethanol was percolated in amount of 8 times of herb, the percolating rate was that the percolate amount was 1 time of herb weight per hour, the content of obtained curcumin was the best. As the same time,the content of curcumin was accuraly tested by HPLC. The extraction technology was mature and repetitive ,the content of curcumin was increased and the extraction technology was improved.
