In this paper, the design of the ingate of the shaft bottom yard under the condition of very soft stratum in Shanghaimiao mining area is analyzed. Through the numerical simulation method, the excavation process of the horsehead gate at a buried depth of 700 m was simulated, and its influence range on the surrounding rock mass was studied. The results show that after the excavation of the ingate, the disturbance to the original stress field is large, the plastic failure is mainly shear failure, local tensile failure, and the influence range of the plastic failure zone is large. The displacement vector direction near the horsehead door points to the roadway and chamber after excavation, and the displacement is large. Therefore, it is recommended to take appropriate reinforcement measures near the horsehead to prevent large plastic deformation.
