In this study, aiming at the problem that the stress distribution variation of the stope was complicated due to the narrow working face and the goaf on both sides of No.II1-13130 Face in Pingyu No.1 Coal Mine, the microseism monitoring technology was used, the arrangement of microseismic geophones was optimized. The microseism activity law and the failure range of surrounding rock in the mining process were analyzed, and the characteristics of the advance support stress of the narrow strip island working face were summarized. Based on this, a reasonable mining speed was proposed. The results showed that due to the narrow working face and the gap structure of the surrounding goaf, the failure degree and range of the surrounding rock of the working face were increased. The failure depth of the floor was about 32 m, and the failure height of the roof was about 60 m. The microseism monitoring reaction showed that the failure range of the advanced support stress of the working face was 80 m, and the mining speed was reasonable between 1.6 ~ 2.5 m / d, which provided the basis for the mine pressure control according to the control of the mining speed during the mining of the working face.
