Abstract：This paper took the excavation roadway in the second mining area of Laomupo Mine as an example. The water outburst hidden dangers location and range including front of the roadway, the side and front of working face, the old goaf water area and other types were detected in advance by means of transient electromagnetic technology and direct current method detection technology. The drainage, isolation and sealing were done in advance, so as to reduce and eliminate the occurrence of malignant water outburst accidents including old goaf water, and ensure the safe excavation of the roadway.
