In view of the problem that the thick limestone roof of No.6 mining area of Yangcun Mine bearing the concentrated stress under the action of monorail crane, whether the roof is stable without support, the maximum stress of the suspension point and the deflection range of the roof was settled by analyzing the stress situation of the monorail crane in the thick roof, and the numerical simulation analysis on the stability of the coal seam roadway on the No.16 working face of the sixth mining area was carried out. The vertical stress, vertical displacement and plastic zone evolution of surrounding rock under different thickness and load conditions were compared. The mine pressure monitoring showed that the displacement of surrounding rock and roof was small and the roadway was stable.
