Most of the water-conducting cracks in the No. 15 coal seam of the Wangyun Mine can communicate to the former No. 3 coal seam of ponding water, with a potential water damage in the top plate ponding area, and the former No. 3 coal seam of ponding water area, the amount of water was large, which seriously affected the safe mining of coal resources in the No. 15 coal seam. In view of this situation, the water damage was managed by adopting the comprehensive management scheme of ground large-diameter drilling pumping and drainage as the main and underground drilling and drainage as the supplementary, with remarkable results, eliminated the potential water damage and ensured the smooth connection of mining.
