In order to improve the gas drainage efficiency of No. 3 coal seam in Xinyuan Mine, a segmented hydraulic fracturing and permeability enhancement test was carried out on the 31009 working face. By analyzing the principle of the segmented hydraulic fracturing technology, it was compared with ordinary hydraulic fracturing technology. The difference is that the technology has the characteristics of concentrated fracturing action points, small water flow and good fracturing effect. Combined with specific geological conditions, the parameters of hydraulic fracturing and the parameters of fracturing drilling were determined. After the fracturing plan was implemented, the effect analysis was performed by monitoring the gas drainage holes. The results showed that after the hydraulic fracturing scheme implemented, the range of fracturing and permeability enhancement was about 15 m. After the staged hydraulic fracturing, the gas drainage efficiency was effectively improved.
