The detection of anomalies such as the internal structure of the coal face is a key problem that needs to be urgently solved in the process of coal mining. The wave seismic reflection technology analyzes the propagation trough waves in the coal seam, by means of frequency dispersion analysis, with specific wave velocities, CT imaging and other data processing methods, it is possible to predict the change of coal thickness and structural distribution in the face, which provided a geological basis for the safe and efficient mining. The importance of trough waves in the production process of coal mines with specific cases was illustrated.
