With the deep mining of coal resources, the problem of high stress rich supporting in small area and deep mining was becoming more and more prominent. In order to systematize the influence of pressure relief groove on support engineering, the typical Qianjiaying Mine -850 cross-hole project was taken as the background, the UDEC discrete element model was established, and the influence of the stress transfer, crack expansion and displacement field distribution of surrounding rock with pressure relief trough or not was comparatively studied. Combined with the scope of construction, the influence of mining size of pressure relief groove on the action of excitation gap was analyzed. Based on the optimized multi-layer grouting technology of anchor and pressure relief groove, the stress control and crack expansion of surrounding rock of the project technical scheme were analyzed, and its support efficiency was evaluated.
