Based on the high gas outburst of 2001 working face in Hepan Mine, 2001 air return roadway was taken as study object, FLAC3D numerical model of rock movement and deformation was set up, overburden strata movement - deformation process was simulated to analyze recovery mining face features of deformation, movement and failure under the influence of mining. The numerical simulation showed that the effective measures of controlling recovery working face coal wall and overlying strata movement and deformation was improving the strength of support and minimizing the pressure of coal wall and strata, the most optimized passive support parameter was set as 1.2MPa.
