In order to improve reliability of haulage system of coal mining machine， variable frequency speed control system of coal mining machine was studied， especially for its automatic speed characteristics. At the same time， direct torque control system based on stator magnetic chain compensator was designed and MATLAB was used to make modeling and simulation， which showed that this control system had  good effect.
