Ferroalloy smelting energy consumption has already been more than 2% of the country's industrial energy consumption, promoting waste heat recovery power generation technology is propitions to reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency. Combined with Yunnan Jianshui ferroalloy cogeneration project application examples, the waste heat power generation technical characteristics in ferroalloy field were summed up.It was pointed out that the application advanced waste heat recovery technology and low-pressure heat recovery steam cogeneration technology in ferroalloy areas, not only could save energy, but also had obvious environmental benefit; the generation capacity of the heat generators of the project was 9.6×107 kW·h/a, the power supply was 8.832 × 107 kW·h/a, the savings of standard coal was 3.56 × 104 t/a, emissions of carbon dioxide was 8.68 × 104 t/a;the project has made significant energy saving, economic, environmental and social benefits.
