Air compressor is one of the main auxiliary equipments in refinery, its design will directly effects the stability of the compressed air supply and thus relates to the smooth running of the refinery. The typical air compression station equipment, air filters, air compressors, selection points of air dryers and piping design were focused. It was pointed out that air compressor design is restricted by the selection and matching of each device type, so the air compression station design should be did well; the corollary equipments in air compressor have a great space for optimization of process, equipment selection and equipment matching, so the air compression station design can be more optimized and more reasonable.
