Ethyl chloroacetate was synthesized with strong acid cation resin as catalyst using reactive distillation method.The influences of the reaction temperature, reaction time and ratio of acid and ethanol on the reaction were studied. The experiment showed when the reaction temperature was 75 ℃, the residence time of the liquid in the first reactor was 25 min, the residence time in the second reactor was 20 min,and the molar ratio of alcohol and acid was 4∶1,the maximum conversion rate could be achieved, the first reactor conversion rate was 70.22%, the second reactor conversion rate was 98.92% .
