In order to explore the range of mutual disturbance in the process of mining face advancing in close distance coal seam, taking the 4-506-2 mining face and 9-1510 open-off cut heading face of Liuhuanggou Coal Mine as the engineering background, FLAC3 D numerical simulation method was used to analyze the evolution law of surrounding rock stress and plastic failure zone in different mining stages, and verified by field microseismic monitoring. The results show that in the stage of solid coal mining, the significant influence range of the advance of the working face is 40 m, and the lateral is 45 m. In the stage of gob-side mining, the stress of the surrounding rock of the open-off cut is significantly reduced due to the pressure relief effect of the overlying goaf. When the distance between the two working faces is less than 40 m, the plastic zone of the surrounding rock of the open-off cut begins to expand obviously. The maximum influence range of the open-off cut is about 45 m, and the lag influence range of the mining face is about 30 m. It is suggested that the safety distance of the two working faces should be controlled above 45 m to ensure the safety of the mining face.
