A large number of liquefied gas stations in China are replacing the pressure pipelines with smaller diameters to avoid pressure pipeline supervision. In order to ensure production safety and provide reference for functional department supervision and management, through the comparison and simulation calculation of domestic regulatory standards, it was analyzed and summarized that simply reducing pipeline specifications will exceed the maximum flow rate allowed by the regulations, leading to the gasification of liquefied petroleum gas. The research conclusion is that without replacing the existing large displacement compressor and hydrocarbon pump in the station, changing the DN50 pipeline to a DN40 pipeline will cause the pipeline system pressure of liquefied petroleum gas to approach its saturated vapor pressure before entering the hydrocarbon pump, and the hydrocarbon pump will experience cavitation.
