After heavy rainfall in Jincheng area, the water level of Ordovician limestone rose, which led to the local area of No.15 coal seam in Gulong Coal Mine becoming mining under pressure and threatened the safety of production. In view of this situation, the water outburst risk of Ordovician limestone water mining under pressure in No.15 coal seam of Gulong Coal Industry was systematically evaluated. Based on the latest construction of long observation hole and regional hydrogeological data, the water level elevation of Ordovician limestone in the mine field was speculated, and the thickness, lithological conditions and water-resisting performance of the aquifuge in the coal seam floor were analyzed. By calculating the water outburst coefficient, the pressure zone was divided into the relative safe area and the dangerous area of water outburst. This evaluation provided an important basis for mine geological and hydrogeological work, and helped to guide the safe mining of the mine.
