Abstract： As a drilling method, sidetracking was often used in the drilling process. However, sidetracking became complex and difficult, even several sidetracking were not successful, because the drilling tool combination was unscientific and unreasonable, drilling control was not in place, and the sidetracking details were not paid attention to. The above problems were analyzed and discussed in depth. Through scientific and reasonable drilling tool combination, accurate control of drilling process and accurate grasp of the details, the sidetracking was gradually improved and the sidetracking efficiency was improved.
