Abstract： After drilling hole sealing by using the traditional geological detection drilling hole sealing technology，water seepage and drilling pipe movement often occurred in drainage operation. Taking No.81303 roadway of Huayang No.1 Mine as an example，the main problems of traditional geological detection and drilling hole and sealing hole technology were studied. According to the production situation, a new hole sealing device was designed，which was applied in practice. The practical application showed that, the sealing effect of water detecting drilling hole had been significantly improved. The hole sealing qualified rate was increased from 54% to more than 92%. The safety of water detection and discharge in the construction of roadway excavation was effectively ensured，and good effect was obtained.
