In order to meet the need of upgrading the slanting man-trains of coal mines such as Wangjiashan Mine, Dashuitou Mine, Weijiadi Mine and Honghui No.1 Mine of Jingyuan Coal Group, and to match with the track pass ability of the mine's snap rail rider device, the retrofitting design study of the existing standard rail connection method was conducted. Through the calculation and analysis of the track force, the connection strength was checked and the comparative test of the track bearing capacity was carried out. The results showed that the special rail connection method had better bearing capacity than the conventional connection method and met the transportation requirements of the chuck rail passenger device and heavy load, and provided an implementation method based on the standard rail chuck rail modification for the site.
