In view of the complex structure and many related subsystems of the intelligent management and control platform for coal mines, it is difficult to establish a mathematical model in data acquisition, processing and decision-making. The three-level hierarchical control theory was used to build an intelligent management and control platform integrating demand forecasting, on-demand production, efficient operation and accurate accounting, and create a mine-wide man-machine -ring multi-closed-loop control system to realize coal mining. Real-time monitoring, dynamic identification, effective early warning and advanced control of hidden dangers of major disasters in coal mines provided theoretical support for the design of intelligent management and control platform for coal mines. Through on-site application in coal mines in Sichuan and Guizhou provinces, intelligent development was made step by step from equipment monitoring layer, regional coordination layer and whole mine optimization layer to achieve maximum benefits with the least labor, the lowest cost and the shortest time.
