Abstract In this paper, a collaborative management model based on multi-system coupling is proposed to solve the problem of coupling disaster prevention and control of gas and water disasters in the process of mining and excavation in deep mines. By constructing a four-dimensional collaborative theoretical framework of ' space-time-technology-management ', and integrating key technologies such as staged fracturing of surface horizontal wells, directional long boreholes and directional grouting of polymer quick-setting materials, an intelligent monitoring and early warning system was developed. Through the field application in Malan Coal Mine of Shanxi Coking Coal, the following conclusions are drawn : this mode increases the gas extraction amount by 34.9%, up to 41.1 %, reduces the unilateral cost of water prevention and control project by 27.8%, and increases the material utilization rate by 35.6%. Through the ' geological-engineering ' double advanced control, the peak risk of gas-water disaster coupling is reduced by 58%, and the accident rate is reduced by 40%. The research has formed a positive feedback mechanism of ' cost reduction-resource conservation-efficiency improvement ', which provides a systematic solution for the safe and efficient mining of deep mines with complex geological conditions.
