Abstract In order to deeply study the complex fire prevention and extinguishing technology problems in the mining process of thick spontaneous combustion coal seam under the condition of gently inclined and large mining height, through the comprehensive arrangement and detailed analysis of the existing technical data, the two core areas of monitoring and forecasting system and fire prevention and extinguishing system are studied in depth and in detail. A typical representative 5206 working face of Pulongwan Coal Industry was selected as the specific research object, and a comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing system was designed and constructed. Starting from time and space, the system implements multi-scale and multi-dimensional prevention and control strategies for the comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing work of 5206 working face, aiming at realizing all-round, three-dimensional monitoring and efficient disposal of fire hazards in the working face.
