Abstract Aiming at the problem of high gas concentration in the upper corner caused by the release of pressure relief gas from the roof and floor cracks to the protective layer working face and goaf in No.3 coal seam of Xiangshan Mine under the influence of mining, combined with the complex geological conditions such as high stress soft coal seam in the outburst mine, the composite drilling and sliding directional drilling technology was adopted, and the ZYL-6000D omni-directional kilometer drilling rig was used to support the spiral drill pipe and YSX18 mine-used measurement while drilling system. The high-pressure nitrogen drilling technology was used to construct directional long boreholes for gas extraction in a working face, and the ' three plugging and two injection ' two-phase sealing technology was used in the extraction boreholes. Finally, the control and drilling technology of directional long drilling in soft coal seam is formed. The test results show that the ZYL-6000D omnidirectional kilometer directional drilling rig with high-strength grooved drill pipe can improve the drilling depth and efficiency. The 'three plugging and two injection 'two-phase sealing method can effectively seal the cracks around the borehole, and the gas extraction concentration is greatly improved. The modular extraction of gas control in directional long boreholes in soft coal seam is realized, which provides a strong guarantee for the safe, efficient and stable development of the mine.
