Abstract In order to strengthen the development and utilization of mineral resources in Dangshan County, optimize and use mineral resources rationally, and promote the rapid development of national economy in Dangshan County, the development and construction of Zhulou mine field is very necessary. In this exploration, it is necessary to find out the Cenozoic sedimentary thickness and bottom interface fluctuation pattern in the exploration area in detail, to find out the nature and extension of faults with a drop greater than 50 m in No.7 and No.10 coal seams, to find out the fluctuation pattern of No.7 and No.10 coal seams and to preliminarily understand the thickness change trend of No.7 and No.10 coal seams. By carefully analyzing the geological data of the study area and combining with the previous geophysical data, it was considered that the two-dimensional seismic exploration could meet the exploration task and deployed 14 seismic lines with a total length of 100.84 km. The results showed that two-dimensional seismic exploration was one of the reference means to find out the structure, control the occurrence form of coal seam and the condition of fracture structure. In this paper, the role of two-dimensional seismic method in mine field exploration was expounded , analyzed and researched.
