Abstract The geological and hydrological conditions of Chengnan Coal Industry were comprehensively analyzed, and the investigation and analysis were carried out from the mine water filling source. It was concluded that the main water damage in No.15 coal seam mining in this mine were goaf water, coal seam roof water, atmospheric precipitation and ground water, abandoned shaft and poor closed drilling hole water, and structure water. Special prevention and control measures were formulated for each water damage to ensure the safe mining of coal mines.
