Abstract In order to evaluate the water outburst risk of No.3-1 coal seam roof aquifer in the second panel of Pojianghaizi Mine and ensure the safety of mine production, in this paper, combined with the occurrence characteristics and hydrogeological conditions of No.3-1 coal, the “three figure and double prediction” method based on the coupling of geographic information system (GIS) and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is used to carry out the comprehensive analysis of roof water inflow (outburst) conditions of No.3-1 coal. And the comprehensive zoning map of roof water inflow (outburst) conditions is compiled. The targeted water prevention and control measures are formulated. The study provides the basis for the safe mining activities of No.3-1 coal in the mine.
