Abstract Aiming at the detection problem of finding water in high altitude areas, this paper analyzes and elaborates the effect of the application of integrated physical prospecting on the water-richness of coal-bearing strata in No.3 Mine of Yuka mining area in Qinghai by using the advanced technology of integrated electrical method. The effective method of integrated physical prospecting was proposed in high sea wave area, complex surface conditions, and even in arid and desert areas with high topographic difference. Comprehensive physical prospecting technology was used to effectively investigate the water-richness of aquifers, so as to provide a basic guarantee for the water search and fragile ecological restoration in Qinghai Province.
