Abstract When the sprocket of a scraper conveyor meshes, the stress on the meshing surface may be uneven due to the unreasonable structure size. In response to this problem, taking the SGZ800 / 800 scraper conveyor as an example, the UG software was used to model and analyze the meshing of the sprocket and chain ring, and it was found that obvious stress concentration appeared on the sprocket around the inside of the vertical ring. On this basis, the optimization of the meshing tooth profile was made, which improved the stress on the meshing surface, and the working stability of the meshing surface of the sprocket chain ring of the scraper conveyor.
