Abstract Mine tremors are a common and complex dynamic destabilization phenomenon in coal mining, inducing shock ground pressure and surface collapse. In order to prevent and control mine tremors in the Dongtan Mine, a new directional and long-bore hydraulic fracturing technique for the huge thick roof of the coal seam was proposed, which was based on the analysis of the occurrence and causes of mine tremors in the Dongtan Mine, the technolgy recieved good effect.
