Abstract No. 3-3, No. 3-1, and No. 3-2 coal seams in the 3103 working face of Shangzhuang Coal Industry with high gas content and close to adjacent layers, making gas management difficult, based on the mining experience at the nearby working face and the analysis of the site data, a comprehensive and reasonable technical plan for the gas treatment of the 3103 working face was formulated scientifically. The combination of various technical means such as gas drainage in the coal seam, high-level gas drainage in the adjacent layer, and forced roofing ensured the safe and efficient mining of 3103 working face. The practice proved that it was effective to adopt the comprehensive gas management technology to the coal seam with complicated conditions and high gas content.
