Abstract In order to provide reasonable suggestions for the coal mining method of No.3 coal seam in Gucheng Coal Mine, combined with the actual geological conditions of the working face of S1301, the analysis of the membership degree method showed that the No. 3 coal seam of Gucheng Mine with good caving property, and it was easy to adopt fully mechanized top coal mining, and a reasonable way of coal mining was put forward.
