In the early stage, the gas pipeline in the residential area is old and needs to be renewed. Through analyzing the status of Beijing city gas network in the old district, There are some potential security in small courtyard line and building households inside inner line and the gas pipeline should be transformed using new materials and new equipments. The application situation of the new materials and devices in used in the gas pipe network transformation were introduced in recent years in China, and the scope of application,advantages and disadvantages and matter needing attentions of variety of new material and new equipment were analyzed.
