Abstract In order o solve the problem of the roadway bare rock weathering and supporting material corrosion, the failure mechanism action and support role of the concrete were analyzed, the new closed thin spray materials for roadway was studied. The technology of roadway closed thin spray was proposed, industrialized practice was conducted. The results showed that the new coating materials,equipment and technology was instead of shotcrete construction, which effectively solved the roadway weathering, corrosion supporting material and the high rate of shotcrete rebound, large transportation workload, high concentrations of dust and work intensity of construction of shotcrete, the technology played a crucial role in increasing the speed of construction.
