Abstract Liquid chlorine which is high-toxic is widely used in chemical production. The leak of chlorine will cause great harm to the environment and human. According to the feature of chlorine and the relative law and rule, the safety facilities should be adopted for liquid chlorine tank storage. The safety facilities and the design of tank storage were introduced. It is pointed out that the security problems should be highlighted at the beginning of engineering design,the security management of liquid chlorine tank storage should be strengthened in use of liquid chlorine in order to ensure security.
