Abstract Fault is the common geological structure in mining and the main geologic factor influencing mine production. The fault in 50 years mining of Fangezhuang Mine was taken as the study object, the fault development law and form were studied. Through analyzing the relationship between fault development and geological structure and regional underground stress, the relative conditions of fault development law and its forms under different geological environment were found out.
