Abstract Xinjiang Yushuling 110503 mining face belongs to class II spontaneous combustion coal seam. With the increase of mining depth, the risk of spontaneous combustion in the goaf of the working face is increasing. Because the area belongs to the wind erosion landform, the surface is easy to be destroyed. Under the action of wind erosion, there are many cracks on the surface of the roadway, the air leakage is serious, and the spontaneous combustion is serious. Therefore, it is urgent to design the fire prevention and extinguishing work in the goaf. In this field test, the beam tube was used to monitor the 110503 working face, and the spontaneous combustion ' three zones ' area was divided according to the critical oxygen concentration index of coal spontaneous combustion, and the minimum safe advancing speed of the working face was calculated, which provided data support for the safe mining of the working face. According to the condition of multiple cracks in the mine roadway, a new type of plugging material was used for spraying, and the effect was good. Based on this, the corresponding comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing measures are put forward, which provides a solution for the spontaneous combustion prevention and control of the coal mine. The research results are expected to provide fire prevention and extinguishing reference for coal mine environment with similar landforms.
